So I launch a portfolio by deviant Art.

I like it but then again it has somethings that I wish I had more control over. One of which, is the background for the entire site. I guess it gives people the option of just throwing up a portfolio real quick. It is clean I can say that... It just lacks options.

Hi. How are you?

I have been holding off showing of my new style. Its like I'm in between a graphic design and illustration mode. You can see a little taste of it in the Amaze 07 poster and the up coming post of the Amaze 08. I actually have three to four additional plans and sketches I will post as well as precursors. For example, I plan on doing a CD mix for my son and I want to do a custom cover with him and his mother back to back on the cover as a digital illustration. Pshhh the music is dope I may even actually try to sell it. I also want to do a Dilla poster and an illustration for Detroit. So look forward to them and hopefully its that style from now I get to show off. I really like the thought of doing some independent works. In my neck of the woods it was mostly directed on working for people. Its not that I don't want to do that, I really want to show the world I can do some art. And not just art, Im talking about poetry, photography, motion, even being a music producer if time and the heavens are in alignment - no doubt. But until then..... :: Let's have some more fun ::

I found a clip that somebody did of Angel Lola Love on YouTube. Its just a collection of her images celebrating her beauty. If you don't know who Angel is: she is a very attractive Ethiopian model that is usually seen on various infamous hip hop vids. She is extremely striking - fine as all out doors. But what's even more striking is this song that the author put in the background... As I listen to the song I forget all about Angel Lola Love. To me that's just how good that damn song is. I don't know what the song is.. I don't even know what he is saying. but it sure is dope. It has a really cool base line and the rhythm just captures you and just makes your head bob. It has these high's and lows that give a cool emotional climax that comes out perfectly and at the right time. Here I go about to listen to it one more time. Anndd probably do some art work.

Another day and another opportunity to improve.
Let's Do It...

I got an opportunity to work for a really cool friend in designing a corporate identity and business card for Jasmine Pruitt who is starting a her practice as an interior decorator. You can see it in the card in the gallery. I wanted to reach out to her future prospective clients with a striking new logo with some typography that tends to snag a hold of some of your emotions which causes you to get another look.

Wow I really like my Amaze 07 entry. But it doesn't seem finished. I guess I will make a limited addition back and do a report with some cool and fancy Russian Constructivism typography talking about the history, philosophy and the works of Shepard Fairey... But until then...
AMAZE 08 is on the way and its a much doper poster. Its way deep and I'm celebrating some way cool artists. I hope you like it as well.
I definately think I am on to something so I will be like a fine wine dime name kim and keep it moving.
